Chemical Analysis according to the Convention on the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons
Abstrakt
A number of commitments result from the Convention on the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons for States Parties. Beside a fundamental requirement, i.e. destruction of the existing stockpiles of chemical weapons and corresponding facilities in the course of ten years since the entry into force of the Convention, a substantial part of the facilities of chemical and pharmaceutical industries are subject to a verification regime. When performing the inspections, samples of chemicals may be taken and analyzed in order to confirm that the given object does not violate the Convention provisions. The article presents basic information on the principles of sampling and samples analyzing during inspections performed by international inspectors of the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons.Stahování
