Abstract

The article summarizes the current state of research in the development of catalysts for dinitrogen oxide decomposition. The catalysts are assessed from the viewpoint of practical utilization for decomposition of N2O emissions in waste gases. Attention is focused on the activity of the investigated catalysts and their sensitivity to inhibition by oxygen, water vapour and other components of waste gases. The proposed mechanisms of the decomposition are discussed.
