Abstract

The article reviews recent developments and applications of the cloud-point extraction (CPE), a new promising and fast-developing technique of pretreatment of environmental samples. This approach has been recently used especially in the analysis of nonpolar to medium-polar ecotoxic analytes present in aqueous samples. CPE is mainly used for analysis of multicomponent residues in combination with high-performance separation techniques such as GC, HPLC, CE, CEC, and micellar electrokinetic chromatography.
