Abstract

A rapid and simple method for determination of Cu in copper-doped zeolites is reported. Zeolite samples are pressed with boric acid and the prepared pellets are analysed by wavelength-disperse X-ray spectrometry (WD-XRS). Cu was also determined by inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry (ICP-OES) and flame atomic absorption spectrometry (FA-AAS) after microwave digestion of the samples with hydrofluoric acid in closed Teflon vessels. A very good agreement was obtained between the WD XRS and ICP-OES results as well as between the WD-XRS and FA-AAS results.
